Karlstad University expresses its support for the universities and civilian population of Ukraine and backs the statement made by the Association of Swedish Higher Education Institutions (SUHF).

If you are a Ukrainian citizen and have applied for asylum in Sweden, or a citizen of EU/EEA or Switzerland, you can apply in our second admissions round which is open 15 March to 19 April.

Karlstad University has ceased collaboration with the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology
Karlstad University has a previous collaboration agreement with the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology in Moscow. Karlstad University has ceased this collaboration due to the Minister for Education, Anna Ekström, urging all Swedish universities to immediately cease contacts and collaborations with government institutions in Russia and Belarus.
The cooperation project with the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology was a project in materials engineering, including one doctoral student.
