The Ingesund School of Music/ Karlstad Universitiy embraces an international study climate. The school is one of six schools in Sweden with higher education. Ingesund School of Music's main task is to train music teachers and to provide various single-subject courses in the field of music studies.

The term exchange student implies that your home university has a formal agreement for exchange studies with Ingesund School of Music/Karlstad University. Check with the International Office at your university. You must first apply for the exchange at your home university; either through your central International Office or through an international coordinator at your department or faculty. You must have sufficient proficiency in English. Your home university must nominate you before you can formally apply for exchange study at Ingesund School of Music/Karlstad University.
How to apply
MHI is participating in the pilot of Association of European Conservatoires (AEC)s online application system EASY for the applications for incoming exchange students throught Erasmus+ and Nordplus for academic year 2017/2018. Before submitting online application you have to be nominated as an exchange student by your home institution. Please create the account and follow the online application step by step. You will be asked to prepare for the following documents for uploading to your application:
- Transcript of Records from your home institution
- Learning Agreement (study plan)
- Link to the recording (max 10 min)
- Personal letter

Deadline: March 1, 2018. Only 1 intake per year.
Academic Year 2017/2018: Fall term 2018: August 24 - January 20.
Spring term 2019: January 21 - June 9.
