Study programme
Prerequisites
Degree of Bachelor of at least 180 ECTS credits with a major in Industrial Management or other technology specialisation, including 22.5 ECTS credits in Mathematics. Introduction to Business Administration for Engineering Master Students (FEGAT2), or Industrial Organisation (IEGA06), or equivalent. A degree project/essay at advanced level of at least 15 ECTS credits, or equivalent. Upper secondary level English 6 or A, or equivalent.

Education
The program includes two years of studies in the advanced level which is research driven and focuses on innovation management, service development, and business development. The aim of the program is that the student develops the knowledge and skills to identify and create new business opportunities, transform organisations into the service economy, and manage creativity and innovation processes. Education is given in an active form where the students often work in groups with a strong focus on both theoretical and practical relevance.Form of Instruction
Within the program, education is given in the form of lectures, exercise and presentations, together with supervised projects.Examination
Courses in the program are examined through written, oral, individual, and group assignments that are presented and discussed in mandatory seminars.Professional Contact
The program has been developed in collaboration with Swedish companies from industries, such as, industrial production, IT development, and consumer goods.The skills that you develop are therefore aligned with the needs of the job market. Some courses are also linked to practice through guest lectures by practitioners, live case assignments and projects from companies.Course of Study
The program consists of 8 periods (4 per year), where the students take two courses at a time.The first period focuses on industrial transformation, where students are introduced to the core issues related to technology development and innovation management.
Thereafter, periods 2 to 4 focus on service management, idea management and core business skills related to entrepreneurship, sales, and digitalisation.
In the period 5, students take a 15 credit innovation project course that summarises previous studies. Here the students get to apply their knowledge in innovation management and service development in a concrete project.
Finally, periods 6 to 8 are focused on research methods and master's thesis.
