PhD students
As a doctoral student, you are both an employee and a research student. Doctoral studies normally comprise four years of full-time study and include both coursework and independent research. Many doctoral students also have departmental duties, such as teaching, which may extend the period of employment. During your doctoral studies, there are also opportunities to participate in international conferences, research collaborations and exchanges, helping you to develop both your subject expertise and international networks.
