Research
My research is based on a general interest in school leadership and how it can ultimately have a positive impact on students' development and learning. This includes questions related to relational aspects of leadership, such as collaboration and trust.
I also participate in a Nordic research study aimed at understanding the consequences in schools following the Covid-19 pandemic and drawing lessons from the different measures taken by the countries during the pandemic. The focus includes issues such as well-being, teaching, digitalization, and children and young people's thoughts about the future.
Furthermore, I have an interest in questions concerning school leaders' learning and professional development.
Teaching
I teach in all courses within the Principal Training Program, covering topics such as school law and the exercise of authority, leadership, governance, organization, school development, and leadership. I also supervise principals within the training program with a focus on professional development. Additionally, I am involved in special initiatives in schools (SBS/SI).
Previously, I have been involved in principal training in Norway through the Ledelse ØST Consortium and have for several years served as a process leader in a collaboration between the Swedish National Agency for Education and the Norwegian Directorate for Education and Training, involving principals from both Sweden and Norway.

Bio
I began my career in education as a primary school teacher. I then worked as a school leader for 12 years. Since 2011, I have been employed at Karlstad University, primarily working within various areas of the Principal Training Program and conducting research.
