Michal Drechsler

Michals research interests are teachers’ and student teachers’ PCK regarding knowledge of students’ difficulties and knowledge of teaching strategies including choices of material as well as choices of topics and examples. The latter one includes teachers that struggle to make connections between the chemical concepts and some SSI issues Further, he is interested in student teachers’ concerns when starting to teach and their needs from for instance teacher education.

Michal Drechsler is a board member of the research group SMEER (Science Mathematics, engineering Education Research) and also coordinator for the development and fulfillment of the educational research course, aimed for teachers involved in teacher education affiliated to SMEER.
