Kamal Rezk
Research
My research focuses on simulation and modeling within various energy and environmental engineering systems. Using CFD modeling, I investigate heat and mass transfer as well as flow dynamics in porous media and multiphase processes. Particular focus is placed on dewatering and drying processes in papermaking, as well as the oxygenation of industrial wastewater. Through advanced numerical methods, the research aims to optimize these processes and improve energy efficiency, with the goal of reducing resource consumption and environmental impact in industrial applications.
Teaching
I primarily teach engineering students in the field of environmental and energy systems and chemical engineering, with a strong focus on fluid mechanics, heat and mass transfer, systems analysis, computational methods, and advanced simulation and modeling using various computational tools. My teaching spans both undergraduate and graduate levels, where I help students understand and apply complex theoretical and practical concepts. Additionally, I supervise both bachelor's and master's students in their thesis projects each year.
