Hanna Enefalk
Associate professor of history
Research
My area of expertise is the cultural history of 19th-century Scandinavia, e.g. nationalism, drinking cultures, gender history and lyrics. In the last years I have expanded my research interest into two other fields: environmental history and the role of Christianity in Swedish society.
Teaching
I teach history at all levels.
Collaboration
Outside academia, I lecture on e.g. broadside ballads, church history and the history of alcohol and drugs. Since 2022 I am country editor (Sweden) for Scandinavian Journal of History. From 2024 I work with a new Handbook of Swedish History for Routledge.
