Hanna Enefalk
Associate professor of history

Research
My area of expertise is the cultural history of 19th-century Scandinavia, e.g. nationalism, drinking cultures, gender history and lyrics. In the last years I have expanded my research interest into two other fields: environmental history and the role of Christianity in Swedish society. I am a member of the board for the Swedish association for women's and gender history.
Teaching
I teach history at all levels.
Collaboration
Since 2022 I am the Swedish country editor for Scandinavian Journal of History and from 2024 I work with a new Handbook of Swedish History for Routledge. Outside academia, I lecture on e.g. broadside ballads, church history and the history of alcohol and drugs. I am also a member of the think tank Humtank.
