Research
My research examines how the news program Lilla Aktuellt adapts journalism for a young audience within the framework of the public service mission. Through interviews with journalists and teachers, as well as observations of the editorial process, my research analyses how complex societal issues are communicated in a way that is understandable and engaging for children. Special focus is placed on journalists' professional roles, their ethical and editorial considerations, and how they balance accuracy with reassurance and educational adaptation. I also explore how the program is used in schools as an educational tool to enhance children's critical thinking and civic engagement. The aim is to increase understanding of child-friendly journalism and its role in shaping an informed and engaged younger generation.
Teaching
I teach bachelor's level, mainly in quantiative and qualitative methods.
