Step 2: Internal procedures for specific funders
Some funders and organisations place a limit on the number or type of proposals that may be submitted from each Higher Educational Institution. Normally the Grants and Innovation Office will coordinate with the Vice-Chancellor and Deans where University-wide decisions and prioritizations need to be made.
The following funders require specific internal procedure:
- Horizon Europe
- The Knowledge Foundation (KK-stiftelsen)
- Omvärldsnämnden, Karlstad Municipality
- Region Värmland
- Private foundations:
US funding
If researchers at Karlstad University are planning to apply for state funding from the US, the Grants and Innovation Office should be contacted beforehand in order to secure that the administrative and legal regulations can be met.
