June 9-10: Hedmark University of Applied Sciences visits Karlstad University
2016-06-09Hedmark University of Applied Sciences visited Karlstad University and, among else, had a guided tour in Karlstad university's usability lab.
Hedmark University of Applied Sciences (HUAS) visited Karlstad University (KAU) during two days, 9-10 June. HUAS has many projects together with KAU. HUAS is one of the project partners in the ongoing project, CriseIT, together with KAU. The main project leader Monika Magnusson from the Information Systems department at KAU presented the CriseIT-project together with project leader Bjørn Tallak Bakken from HUAS.
During the visit, there was also a tour of the university led by the Vice-Chancellor Bo Edvarsson, Dean Patrik Larsson and Deputy Head of Department Martin Löfgren. The visitors also were presented Risklab and Ozlab.
For the demonstration of the usability lab the visitors were divided into groups of seven and received a presentation of the usability labs' three parts, viz., the control room, the testing room, and the reception room. The visitors got the chance to test our Ozlab system and the Wizard of Oz technique by playing a "four in a row" game, led by Senior Lecturer Bridget Kane and Lab Engineer Henrik Andersson. In the reception room Professor John Sören Pettersson introduced the usability lab in context of education and research.
