Jaime Ortega Gutiérrez, associate professor in Marketing at the University of Seville, has been visiting CTF for three months to get to know CTF and meet with the researchers.
Hello Jaime, can you tell us about your research?
– My research areas include value co-creation, social networking, service innovation, and knowledge management within the service sector specifically in tourism. My current research focus on value creation, introduction of technology, employee happiness and customer experience in the service sector and with a sustainability perspective. I am also the coordinator of the subject Commercial Research and are involved in teaching.
What have you been working on these past three months?
– During my visit, I have been working on research together with CTF-professor Bo Edvardsson, it was Professor Edvardsson, who first introduced me to the research center and invited me to visit. I have also met with other researchers, participated in seminars and events at CTF, and I have been involved in teaching at Karlstad Business School.
What do you bring back from you visit?
– Well, visiting CTF has allowed me to learn a lot about other ways of working, to see research from a different point of view and exchange university experiences that enrich my professional career. I find the city very beautiful and well organized, and visiting has given me the opportunity to learn more about the Swedish culture and customs.
