The purpose of Health Data Sweden (HDS) is to increase the use of health data within small and medium-sized companies and public organizations.

- Increasing the use of health data has been identified as a way to increase efficiency in the health sector and to increase health benefits for individuals, says Karin Brodén, postdoctor in information systems at the Service Research Center (CTF) and the Business school at Karlstad University.
The work package involving Karlstad University aims to increase the use and value creation based on health data.
- We work on developing processes to create services from the time the health data is published until a service reaches the end user, explains Karin Brodén. Other areas we work with are developing, for example, skills-enhancing activities - courses and seminars, based on health data.
Also participating in the HDS project are Peter Samuelsson and Erik Wästlund, both at CTF, as well as Sana Rouis Skandrani in the field of information systems.
