Tell us about the article - How experts screen ideas: The complex interplay of intuition, analysis and sensemaking
- Our article reveals how experts from technological companies screen ideas for innovations, says co-author, Alexandre Sukhov at Karlstad Business School and CTF. Specifically, we were able to detail the experts’ thinking processes that occur during evaluation of ideas. This enabled us find the underlying reasons for why some ideas are perceived as good and why some ideas are perceived as bad. Hence, we are able to explain how experts screen ideas and show the experts' active engagement with these ideas. Taken together, our findings help to provide new guidelines on how to manage idea screening in the innovation process.
