Karlstad University placed on world ranking for 2022
2022-02-16Times Higher Education are releasing their 2022 ranking of the best young universities. Karlstad University placed in the 251–300 range.
Times Higher Education ranks the world’s top universities that are 50 years old or younger. For the third consecutive year, Karlstad University has made the list.
“I’m thrilled that Karlstad University has placed on the ranking once again. It lends us more national and international visibility and is significant in terms of our appeal to international researchers and students,” says Thomas Blom, pro-vice-chancellor at Karlstad University.
Universities and university colleges worldwide are evaluated based on five criteria – education, research, citations, internationalisation, and industry funding.
Karlstad University is 23 years old while the majority of institutions on the ranking are between 40 and 50 years old. The number one spot was given to the Paris Sciences et Lettres – PSL Research University Paris.
