Hello Martin Grimberg Löfgren, newly appointed professor of business administration…
2021-11-26… and head of Karlstad Business School at Karlstad University which recently received AACSB accreditation. Congratulations, how does it feel?
"Thank you, it feels fantastic! It is a big accomplishment that has required extensive work and has involved all employees.
What does an AACSB accreditation mean?
"It will strengthen the brand of Karlstad Business School and Karlstad University. We are now part of a network, that includes five percent of the world’s business schools, that meet required high standards. It opens many new doors and opportunities for collaboration and internationalization. Our students will be even better equipped for the challenges of the future, meet more forms of variation and flexible learning, be able to participate in more global classrooms and to a greater extent be able to choose exchange studies at internationally renowned universities. For our research, where CTF has an important role, it means that it will be easier to create formal collaborations with other leading business schools around the world. It should be mentioned that CTF and the research conducted there is a strong reason why we have achieved the accreditation."
You have recently been appointed as professor of Business Administration, can you tell us about your research?
"Before I started my position as Head of Karlstad Business School, I was a researcher at CTF. I also started my doctoral studies there. My research area is service innovation, business models, customer satisfaction, service development and marketing within retail and industry. I was also the project leader of one of CTF's major research profiles, "The New Service Economy", which focused on customer experiences and was conducted in collaboration with several companies.
What is the next step?
"There are still lots of things to do! We have improvement measures to implement which is ongoing quality work."
Congratulations and good luck with the continued work!
