EUNICE, European University for Customised Education, is an alliance between universities from different European countries that work together across disciplines to solve social and economic challenges. Becoming a member means that students will be able to tailor their education with courses from the different universities, and may also contribute to making Karlstad University more competitive in terms of attracting the best researchers through more opportunities for international exchanges, more projects and subsequently a furthering of research.
All of the member universities of the EUNICE alliance share the common feature of being mid-sized regional universities with a strong commitment to their immediate community. They have similar visions and strategies and high academic output. The other member universities include:
- Poznan University of Technology (Polen), the coordinator of the alliance
- Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg Cottbus-Senftenberg (Germany)
