The Swedish Welfare State Model
7.5 ECTS creditsThe course provides an introduction to the traditional Swedish welfare state model and provides some in-depth knowledge and understanding of its components such as health care, elder care, social care, labour market, welfare economy, and education system. The Swedish model is compared and contrasted to other welfare state systems.
The recent development of the Swedish welfare state is discussed and analysed in seminars. The course may also contain compulsory study visits.

In order to be admitted the student must have completed at least one year of undergraduate studies.

Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
