The aim of the model is that students deepen their understanding of different perspectives of the special education knowledge domain and field of operation. Inclusion is treated as an ideological, theoretical and empirical concept. Different models to clarify the conditions for the participation of children, adolescents and adults are introduced and discussed in relation to practical pedagogical activities. The various concepts of disabilities are discussed in a critical perspective.
Module 2 Special Education as a Research Field, 15 ECTS cr
The aim of the model is that students develop knowledge in the research field of special education and the steps in the research process. Students plan, carry out and report a minor empirical study based on a problem in special education that they have formulated themselves.
