Introduction to Psychology
15.0 ECTS creditsThe course gives an overview of the science of psychology. It comprises 16 modules, including psychobiology, developmental psychology, cognitive development, sensory development, perception, attentiveness, memory, language, intelligence, motivation and emotions, stress and health, psychopathology, and psychotherapy. In addition, the theory of science and research ethics will be discussed.
The course is entirely web-based. Instruction is mainly in the form of a number of short lectures which the students can access online. Independent study, discussions, and online exercises and assignments are also part of the course.
The students will be divided into study groups for the completion of group assignments.
