Supervision in Clinical Studies II
7.5 ECTS creditsThis is a web-based distance course which includes a number of digital meetings. Instruction is in the form of self-study, introductory lectures, seminars, peer review, discussions in the virtual learning environment, and digital communication.
The aim is for students to acquire in-depth knowledge of perspectives on supervision and the function of the supervisor in clinical studies. Through planning quality and development work, students acquire tools and develop enhanced knowledge of how the quality of clinical studies in healthcare professions can be improved.
A central part of the course is for students to discuss and reflect upon their own and other students' experiences of supervision. Students prepare individually for the seminars, in which they work in groups with issues derived from the course literature, their own experiences, and the profession.

The possibilities and challenges of supervision
Professional development
Mentoring
Independent planning and implementation of a quality and development project

Admission requirements
Supervision in Clinical Studies I, 7.5 ECTS credits, and upper secondary level Swedish 3 or Swedish as a second language 3, and English 6/A, or equivalent
Selection:
Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
