Economics - Degree project Master of Science in Business and Economics
30.0 ECTS creditsCourse content can be summarised in five components:
1. Lectures on academic writing and theory of science. Students choose a topic in consultation with their supervisor.
2. Authoring a knowledge survey of the thesis topic/issues, discussed at a mandatory mid-seminar.
3. Writing the thesis.
4. Thesis discussed at final seminar. Students act as peer reviewer of a fellow-students thesis (mandatory)
5. Final submission of thesis and an attachment stating how comments at the final seminar have been dealt with in the submitted version.
Supervision is provided for the duration of the course. Students reregistering to complete the thesis in a later semester are offered supervision only if circumstances permit.

Admission requirements:
At least 150 ECTS cr for the programme Master of Science in Business and Economics (SACEK) with a specialisation in economics or financial economy or equivalent, alternatively at least 30 ECTS cr for the Master programme in economics (SANEC-CPNE)
Selection:
Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
