Teacher Training Practice 1 - Music Education

During the course, students participate in different ways in pedagogical activities in a local school over a period of time. Central and local directives are related to school activities, planning, and teaching. Students develop professional communicative skills in interaction with pupils and staff, conduct some teaching under supervision, apply pedagogical theories and translate subject knowledge into teaching, reflect on their own teaching and professional development, and consider the relation between theory and practice. The course also includes discussions on assessment in relation to students' knowledge development, as well as the use of teaching materials and digital resources.

Progressive specialisation: G1F (has less than 60 credits in first‐cycle course/s as entry requirements)

Education level: Undergraduate level

Admission requirements: Registered for Music and music teaching 1, 22.5 ECTS credits, or equivalent

Selection: Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
