Music and Music Teaching 7
7.5 ECTS creditsThe course comprises two modules. The course content prepares students for school-based placements within the subject area.
Module 1: Instrument, 5.5 ECTS cr.
- playing the main instrument through both individual instrumental lessons and ensemble playing
- planning an artistic project
- introduction to stage communication
Module 2: Music education, 2 ECTS cr.
- instrumental methodology seminars with selected themes
- in-depth methodological aspects based on the chosen approach for the main instrument
- supervised teaching practice on the main instrument within compulsory or elective school activities
- reflections on the completed supervised teaching practice

Completed Music and Music Teaching 6, 7.5 ECTS credits, Teachers' pedagogical approach 2 - Music teachers, 7.5 ECTS credits, and Teacher Training Practice 2 - Music Education, 7.5 ECTS credits, plus Instrument and Ensemble 4, 15 ECTS credits, or Classroom Music Teaching 4, 15 ECTS credits, or Music Theory and Composition 4, 15 ECTS credits, or Music and Sound Production 4, 15 ECTS credits, or equivalent
Selection:
Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
