Music Theory and Composition 4
15.0 ECTS creditsThe course comprises two modules.
Module 1
This module includes both practical and theoretical components aimed at enabling students to model voice leading and harmony from various musical periods using the piano. It also covers: familiarity with choral repertoire, tone color shaping, intonation, and musical communication in choral singing, plus exercises in conducting and baton techniques.
Module 2
This module involves practical and theoretical studies across diverse musical styles, including a combination of music theory, composition, and ear training, orchestration and arrangement for big band, practical ear training in groups, and cultural and intellectual history.

Music and Music Teaching 4, 7.5 ECTS credits, and Music theory and composition 2, 7.5 ECTS credits, plus registered for Music and Music Teaching 5, 7.5 ECTS credits, and Music theory and composition 3, 15 ECTS credits, or equivalent

Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
