Classroom Music Teaching 4
15.0 ECTS creditsThe course comprises three modules.
Module 1
- Piano playing to enable students to accompany a certain repertoire, for instance for school ceremonies
- Basic chord playing on the guitar
- Transcribing songs, arranging, and practically performing simple arrangements on rhythm section instruments
- Introduction to basic microphone technique and specific vocal techniques
- Choral repertoire, tone control, intonation, and musical communication in choir settings
- Exercises in conducting and directing
Module 2
- Planning, implementation, and evaluation of content and methods for lessons and small projects related to orchestral instruments, music history, and music listening
- Exploration of project-based learning as a method within aesthetic learning processes
Module 3
- Practical and theoretical work in various musical styles
- Group ear training sessions
- Practical exercises involving the recording of a short film
- Cultural and intellectual history

Music and Music Teaching 4, 7.5 ECTS credits, and Classroom Music Teaching 2, 7.5 ECTS credits, plus registered for Music and Music Teaching 5, 7.5 ECTS credits, and Classroom Music Teaching 3, 15 ECTS credits, or equivalent

Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
