Instrument and Ensemble 3
15.0 ECTS creditsThe course comprises three modules.
Module 1
This module includes performance on the chosen second instrument or instrument group within a selected genre, through individual lessons and ensemble playing. It primarily focuses on developing instrumental/vocal skills, musical interpretation, musical communication within an ensemble, and basic ergonomic approaches.
Module 2
This module focuses on the piano as a chordal instrument. Students practice simplifying existing scores into basic piano accompaniments to support and lead instrumental and/or vocal students. Instruction is based on methodical materials for the relevant instrument or voice. The module also includes repertoire knowledge for choir and work on interpreting and shaping musical expression in choral singing.
Module 3
This module provides group-based ear training along with practical and theoretical elements across various musical styles.

Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
