22.5 ECTS creditsThe course comprises four modules and prepares students for practical placement in the area of music.
Module 1: Instrument, 7.5 ECTS cr
Components: main instrument, ensemble on main instrument, ergonomy
Module 2: Additional instruments, 3 ECTS cr
Components: Accompanying instruments, rhythm section instruments, and voice
Module 3: Music pedagogy, 6 ECTS cr
Components: general music pedagogy, instrument teaching methodology, and group teaching
Module 4: Music theory, 6 ECTS cr
Components: ear-training in theory and practice, music theory, melodics, harmonics, polyphony, and digital music production
When music is the students' first programme subject, the teacher education is introduced and its role as academic professional training is discussed.
