Music Theory and Composition 6
7.5 ECTS creditsThe course comprises two modules.
Module 1
This module includes general music education, including seminars with presentations and discussions of texts from current general and music education journals, research, and debates, and development of a personal teaching philosophy.
The ensemble methodology component focuses on ear-based ensemble leadership within the genres of folk and world music.
The module also covers methodology for teaching music theory and composition, including supervised practice teaching.
Module 2
This module offers both theoretical and practical orientation in tonal counterpoint from the 18th to the 20th century.

Thesis 1 - Music education, 15 ECTS credits, and registered for Music and Music Teaching 7, 7.5 ECTS credits, Teachers' professional leadership 1 - Music teachers, 7.5 ECTS credits, and Music Theory and Composition 5, 15 ECTS credits, or equivalent

Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
