7.5 ECTS creditsThe course covers the following:
- scientific and epistemological perspectives in national and international research on teaching and learning in schools,
- qualitative and quantitative research methods and their application in various music teaching contexts and in music education research,
- conditions within the subject of music for the development of teaching and learning based on scientific principles,
- opportunities and limitations of different research methods,
- various examples of music education research problems and research designs, along with their scientific and epistemological foundations, and
- students' own music education research problems as preparation for their upcoming degree projects.

Registered for Teachers' professional leadership 2 - Music teachers, 7.5 ECTS credits, and completed Teachers' pedagogical approach 1 - Music teachers, 7.5 ECTS credits, Teachers' pedagogical approach 2 - Music teachers, 7.5 ECTS credits, and Teachers' professional leadership 1 - Music teachers, 7.5 ECTS credits, plus at least 120 ECTS credits of subject studies, or equivalent
