Strategic Communication and the Analytical Organisation
7.5 ECTS creditsThe course deals with strategic communication and communication planning in terms of the different phases of the communication process. Students develop skills in applying theoretical and methodological tools in the analysis, assessment, performance and evaluation of a communication process. The course introduces concepts in organisation theory focusing on the role of data analysis for optimising processes in organisational settings. The planning and analysis of real and fictive cases of strategic communication constitute an important part of course content. Throughout the course, theoretical and practical components are integrated in discussing different analytical approaches. Instruction is in the form of lectures and seminars, and group assignments.

Registered for MKGA02 Introduction to Media and Communication Studies 15 ECTS cr, MKGA03 Text, Communication and Organisation 15 ECTS cr, or equivalent.

Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
