The course gives an introduction to metric spaces, linear normed spaces, Hilbert spaces, bounded linear operators, linear functionals, fundamental theorems for Banach spaces, adjoint operators, and compact operators.

Admission requirements: Mathematics 90 ECTS credits, and upper secondary level Swedish 3 or B or Swedish as a second language 3 or B, and upper secondary level English 6 or A, or equivalent
Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
