Children's Right to Health and Physical Activity in School

The module deals with body and health in terms of the anatomy and function of the body and from various health perspectives. Students study how health promotion is carried out in school and childre's psychosocial health with an emphasis on stress and social groups in school. Various physical activities for children are tested and evaluated.
Children's right to physical activity 7.5 ECTS cr
The UN convention on children's rights is considered in the light of school responsibility. A second area in focus is the issue of adapting physical activities for functionally challenges children, which is studies theoretically and practically from an equality and special education perspective.
The module also deals with ways of achieving subject and physical activity integration in school.
The course is offered as distance education with a total of three on-campus meetings, which include mandatory seminars and exercises. Communication takes place via the web based platform It's Learning.
On-campus instruction is in the form of lectures, groupwork, literature seminars and practical demonstration of the methodology of different physical activities. Theory and practice alternate throughout.
