Resarch Practicum, Chemical Engeneering

Students make contact with researchers and agree on a practical placement period. The course starts with a week of preparatory study of the research project. Then the students partake in the daily work for 8 weeks and perform tasks normally included in research. Students document and reflect on their experiences and daily activities in the form of a laboratory notebook. The course is concluded with a week in which students compile their journals into a coherent text and prepare an oral presentation on the research practical training. Students are required to partake in internal seminar series and in other meetings where research issues are discussed.

Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
