Independent project, Western classical music
7.5 ECTS creditsStudents carry out an artistic project based on a chosen aim and research questions and reflect on, describe and discuss their own creative process. They also reflect on and discuss different issues, artistic perspectives, methods and processes in the field of artistic research. The course includes instruction on how an independent project is planned and completed.
The first part of the course includes introduction to and perspectives on an artistic study, formulation of a problem, aim and research questions, planning the performance, choosing and elaborating on the form and content of the project. The project proposal is discussed in seminar before it starts. The second part of the course includes processing, completing and performing the project together with an oral presentation of the work and a written documentation in the form of an essay, which is discussed at a subsequent seminar.

KOGV06 Main Instrument III: Western Classical Music 15 ECTS cr, KOGV07 Ensemble III: Western Classical Music 7.5 ECTS cr and KOGV08 Musical Knowledge III: Western Classical Music 7.5 ECTS cr.

Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
