Ensemble I, Western classical music
7.5 ECTS creditsStudents study and perform ensemble repertoires from various epochs in Western classical music in different constellations, and apply rehearsal techniques for ensembles, including approaches, techniques and exercises adapted to different epochs and ensemble forms. Reading music and playing a vista are practised. Styles, performance praxis, notation issues and interpretation across time, differet forms of ensembles, and reflections on approaches to musical interaction and their own play are included. Piano students also practise accompaniment. Instruction is in the form of group lessons and concentrated rehearsals during project weeks.
