Ensemble I, Western classical music

Students study and perform ensemble repertoires from various epochs in Western classical music in different constellations, and apply rehearsal techniques for ensembles, including approaches, techniques and exercises adapted to different epochs and ensemble forms. Reading music and playing a vista are practised. Styles, performance praxis, notation issues and interpretation across time, differet forms of ensembles, and reflections on approaches to musical interaction and their own play are included. Piano students also practise accompaniment. Instruction is in the form of group lessons and concentrated rehearsals during project weeks.

Progressive specialisation: G1N (has only upper‐secondary level entry requirements)

Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
