Introduction - Spatial and Social planning and project management
7.5 ECTS creditsThe course comprises:
- excursions/studies of a spatial and social planning project
- group work relating to the various perspectives of spatial and social planning in terms of the 'good society'
- components concerning the complexity of spatial and social planning in terms of the individual and society
Students are introduced to the situations and problems that spatial and social planners face and their professional role involving the need to relate to other aspects of planning. Students are also introduced to the different programme areas. Real projects are studied from different perspectives, providing insight into the complexity of spatial and social planning and concrete tasks in the form of organising, knowledge required, and methods used. Through concrete examples, students form an understanding of expert areas required and the role of the spatial and social planner.
Instruction is in the form of lectures, excursions and seminars.
Attendance is mandatory in all course components except lectures.
