Introduction to historical studies
7.5 ECTS creditsThis course provides an introduction to advanced-level historical studies. Starting out from the perspective of historiography, the course offers an overview of developments in the Swedish and European writing of history over time. The course also examines how the writing of history has described, influenced, and been influenced by different kinds of power structures, for instance related to gender, class, and ethnicity.

Bachelor degree of at least 180 ECTS credits with a major in History, History of Ideas, Cultural Studies, Religious Studies, Political Science, Social Science, Ethnology, Archeology, Sociology, Human Geography, or equivalent. Upper secondary level Swedish B/3 or Swedish as a Second Language B/3 and English A/6, or equivalent

Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
