From subject to citizen: Perspectives on societal changes during 200 years

The module introduces the development of the concept citizenship in Europe till today. The impact of different societal factors on the changes of the citizen concept, including globalisation and the new social media, for example, are treated. Also treated are local and regional development trends, such as the issue of citizenship and community ideologies with a special focus on Northern Europe and Sweden.

Education level: Master's level

Admission requirements: Bachelor's Degree with a major in history or admission to SAREG Master programme in Region Building or SAMAS-SHI Master programme in social sciences with a major in history
