From subject to citizen: Perspectives on societal changes during 200 years
7.5 ECTS creditsThe module introduces the development of the concept citizenship in Europe till today. The impact of different societal factors on the changes of the citizen concept, including globalisation and the new social media, for example, are treated. Also treated are local and regional development trends, such as the issue of citizenship and community ideologies with a special focus on Northern Europe and Sweden.
