Introduction to Gender Studies I: Feminist Movements and Theoretical Concepts
7.5 ECTS creditsThe course introduces basic feminist and gender studies areas of knowledge with a focus on feminist movements and theoretical concepts. It also provides an overview of theory of science from a feminist perspective.
Key topics include gender studies as an emergent contemporary movement, basic conceptions and historical changes in the understanding of gender, class, race, and sexuality in various socio-cultural contexts, and an introduction to some of the most important approaches that can be used to analyse gender, norms, and intersectional dynamics of power.
