Environmental chemicals and health with focus on children
7.5 ECTS creditsThe course outlines where environmental chemicals occur and how they are absorbed and metabolised in humans and ecosystems, and how we can study and understand the effect of different chemicals on living organisms in relation to health, especially children's health. The environmental legislation in Sweden and the EU and how chemicals can be assessed in terms of risks are included, as are legislation on producer liability, content in consumer products, and access to information for consumers and other target groups.
