Epidemiology in Mental Health

The formation of the mental health system is discussed. Students are expected to learn relevant key concepts on their own within a given timeframe.
Module 2. Basic measuring in mental health epidemiology
Two types of basic measuring methods in mental health epidemiology research are discussed: psychometry and risk assessment. Students are expected to learn relevant key concepts on their own within a given timeframe.
Module 3. Survey of development psychology Mental health problems are discussed from the perspective of different development phases and age groups. Students are expected to learn relevant key conceptson their own within a given timeframe.
Module 4. Case study and a mini review of the epidemiology of a severe mental or behaviour disorder (e.g. suicide)
Trends in mental health epidemology research are discussed. Students are expected to apply the knowledge acquired in the previous modules to a mental illness of their choosing.
