Spanish I: Written Proficiency
7.5 ECTS creditsThe course starts with lectures and exercises in basic Spanish grammar as recap of previously acquired knowledge, followed by the general structures of Spanish grammar and basic terminology in Spanish and Swedish. Students systematically practise applying central areas of Spanish linguistic structures (morphology, syntax, vocabulary and idiomacy) and translating from Swedish into Spanish.

Admission requirements:
General admission requirements plus either
- field-specific eligibility A2 (upper secondary school level Modern languages - Spanish 3), or
- field-specific eligibility 2 (upper secondary school level Spanish Step 3, English B) barring English B, or
- the courses ESGN01 Spanish basic course 1, 15 ECTS cr and ESGN02 Spanish qualifying course 2, 15 ECTS cr.
Selection:
Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
