Bilingualism
7.5 ECTS creditsThe course deals with linguistic, cognitive, educational, emotive, and social aspects related to bi- and multilingual speakers. Bi- and multilingual development and practices are studied, and the advantages, disadvantages, and challenges of growing up in a bi- or multilingual home environment are discussed. The course also addresses the effects on bi- and multilingualism of language policy and societal views on bi- and multilingual upbringing, as well as implications for bi- and multilingual speakers' education, identity, and well-being.

Admission requirements:
1-90 ECTS credits, including at least 30 ECTS credits at the G2F level in one of the main subjects English, Linguistics, Swedish, Swedish as a second language, French, Spanish, German, Pedagogy, or Pedagogical Work, plus upper secondary level English 6 or B, or equivalent.
Selection:
Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
