Distributed systems and applications
7.5 ECTS creditsThis course aims at providing students with an understanding of the challenges involved in designing and building distributed systems, and to introduce them to the principles, techniques, and practices used to approach these challenges. The course takes a pragmatic approach to the subject, and emphasizes the application of the theory behind distributed systems rather than the theory itself. As a technology application, students will solve programming assignments using the publish-subscribe and MapReduce technologies.
