7.5 ECTS creditsThe course is offered on-campus and off-campus.
On-campus instruction is in the form of lectures, seminars, and project work. Off-campus instruction takes place via the platform Its Learning and at two mandatory on-campus meetings.
The components of the course are:
- technical systems for heating and ventilation in houses
- building technological risk constructions in terms of damp damage
- models of analysis for assessing new heating systems using durability diagrams and energy balance methods
- method for calculating energy and effect requirement
- method for analysing vulnerability to damp with the help of Mollier diagram.
Central concepts:
Heat transfer, damp diffusion, convection, capillary forces, dew point, energy, effect, relative humidity, vapour concentration, additional insulation, creeping foundation, cold attic, natural draught, floating floor, drainage, fresh air ventilation, adapted ventilation, night reduction, passive houses, heaters, heat diffusion, excess pressure, ground foundation, and floor heating.
