CAD for Building Engineers
7.5 ECTS creditsThe course comprises:
- The handling of drawings in building design
- Content and design of drawings and supplementary descriptions
- The structure and function of a CAD-system (ArchiCad), including installation and parameter settings
- The organisation, drawing, editing, and re-use of components in the production of drawings
- Dimensioning
- The handling of models and reference files
- Storage, plotting, and file management
- Producing three-dimensional models and illustrations
- Survey of different computer aids for integrated CAD building design
Instruction is in the form of lectures/demonstration and drawing exercises.

Engineering 15 ECTS cr. and Building Technology and Building Physics 7.5 ECTS cr. or equivalent.

Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
