Every year Emerald invites each journal’s Editorial Team to nominate what they believe has been that title’s Outstanding Paper and up to three Highly Commended Papers from the previous 12 months.
Jörg Pareigis defended his doctoral thesis in Business Administration "Customer experiences of resource integration - Reframing servicescapes using scripts and practices" on September 28. Professor Peter Thilenius from Uppsala University was the opponent.  Abstract It is widely acknowledged that value can be regarded as interactively formed by customers through the integration of a variety of resources.

New Ph D Students in Samot

    Huang Yidan, Wang Xiaohong and Chaoren Lu are new Ph D Students in Business Administration at Karlstad University. They will all be doing their Ph D studies within Samot, our public transport research group, with focus on sustainability, value creation and service innovation.

  Henrik öhlin and Johan Kaluza are two new Ph D Students in Business Administration at CTF.They will both be workning with services in the public sector within Akademin which is a part of CTF.  Read more about Akademin.        
Angela Caridà, research fellow at University Magna Graecia of Catanzaro, Italy, will be visiting CTF during the next three months. Angela Caridà have a Ph D in Economic and Management of Healthcare. Her main areas of interest are service innovation, interactive marketing and co-creation.

Today is A. ("Parsu") Parasuraman, Professor of Marketing & The James W. McLamore Chair School of Business Administration University of Miami, visiting CTF. He is here to discuss a Global Consortium of Service Centers initiative and to talk with some or our researchers. A. Parasuraman is a Professor and Holder of the James W.
Markus Fellesson has been promoted to Associate Professor in Business Administration at Karlstad University. His areas of research are on customer-, marketing and organization practice within the service sector. In addition to his research at CTF and Samot, The Service and Market Oriented Transport Research Group at Karlstad University, he also teaches business administration at Karlstad Business School. Most of his research is conducted within Samot.

We are happy to welcome Stephen L. Vargo, Shidler Distinguished Professor and Professor of Marketing at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, who will be visiting us this week. Stephen L. Vargo was appointed as Visiting Professor at CTF in December 2011.
