Colloquium: A Survey on Usability Evaluation in Digital Health and Potential Efficiency Issues
TITLE: A Survey on Usability Evaluation in Digital Health and Potential Efficiency Issues SPEAKER: Bilal Maqbool (Ph.D. student in computer science at Karlstad University) DATE: Jan 26th, 13:15-14:00 LOCATION: 21A342 (Eva Eriksson, https://link.mazemap.com/THfHLjDc ) or on zoom at https://kau-se.zoom.us/j/4022988625 ABSTRACT:In my upcoming CS Colloquium talk, I'll highlight the importance of usability in the adoption of digital health solutions, as well as the challenges associated with usability evaluation practices. A recent survey of 144 digital health usability experts revealed that commonly used evaluation methods may be inefficient, particularly in digital health contexts. Key findings show that recruiting participants for usability studies is difficult, and selecting appropriate evaluation methods is complex. The talk will highlight the underutilization of automation tools in usability evaluations, suggesting the need for automating UE process steps. Everybody is welcome.
