Broad perspectives and discussions at the Bioeconomy Day 2018
2018-04-09For the second year runnig, Karlstad hosted the Bioeconomy Day on March 21-22. Leading industry and organisations, key stakeholders and policy makers from Sweden and Norway gathered. Researchers from CRS, Karlstad University, were also among the participants.
This year's Bioeconomy Day contained a mix of seminars, discussions and conversations between expertise from industry and politicians at all levels. The Bioeconomy Day has quickly developed into an arena for exchanging experiences and a platform to create a joint vision for strategies and concepts needing political support.
- What's so good about this event is the broad perspectives, both in the presentations and the discussions. I get different views from different stake holders. The exhibition part is also very good, giving us the opportunity to talk to people and tell them about our work. This direct interaction is very rewarding, says Margareta Dahlström, who had an exhibtion stand together with colleague researchers Ida Grundel.
The dinner on Thursday evening was preceded by an research arts exhibition. The Bioeconomy Day was arranged by Region Värmland and Paper Province in coopration with serveral partner organisations and industry.
